This is probably a freshly waxed chain? It’s normal and will eventually stop after a few Km’. Do you only ride it indoors? If yes maybe a bit unnecessary to wax it.

  2. i use oil on the trainer for this reason. Oiled chain stays clean if you are not riding it outside

  3. Chain has a bit excessive wax, that flakes off nothing unusual. Just don’t rub it but use a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner to clean.

  4. It is just extra wax, no big deal to wipe or vacuum up. You do have a lot of extra wax on the chain. Give the chain a good wipe down once the wax has dried. Don’t need wax on the outside of the links, just the inside of the rollers and pins. 🙂

Someone mentioned only using oil on their indoor trainer. That can pick up indoor dust, carpet fluff, etc and wear on the cassette. Not to mention flinging wet oil around if you over lube.

Enjoy your ride and keep the supple side down.
