[Music] hi guys and welcome to another video this one is five dislikes on abedine in Scotland and make sure you stay to the end to find out the worst one and we’re starting off with number one is the most obvious is the weather and the weather is completely cold it’s it’s just cold all year round um I’d say you probably get three weeks a month out of the year that is hot not hot but moderate and don’t get me wrong it’s beautiful but you’re going to need a lot of winter clothes a lot of heating in your house especially for winter and be prepared for Icy Roads uh majority of the time in the winter as well as well so number one is the weather number two is the city the city itself is not appealing it’s very gray very miserable because of the weather cuz it’s always dark and cloudy majority of the time yeah it doesn’t look appealing to people it’s not very uh it’s not drawing people in and I I won’t like taking loads of pictures of it it’s it’s not really nice to see it’s got a lot of modern shops um it’s got a lot of place it’s it’s got everything you need there but it’s just the buildings are not very appealing so that is number two for me three is the distance it’s quite far from everything it’s very up north uh by the SE and it’s like nearly 2 hours and 40 minutes from like Edinburgh and Glasgow uh to England to Manchester where I live is 6 hours and 20 minutes so it is very far from everything which is not very convenient but I personally like being far away from big cities but when you need to go to the big cities for something um and it’s it’s very awkward and very far so for that reason it’s a dislike and and that is number three on my list number four it’s very hilly um everywhere you go it’s just big steep hills especially uh to the city center as well um it’s Market Street you got to walk all the way up I I don’t I don’t mind it too much but sometimes it’s like oh you know I got to walk there again especially if you walk in and you haven’t got a car you know and you you’re on a bike because I used to do deliveries on my bike and yeah it’s very challenging sometimes CU most places you just got to go all the way up the hill and you know things are quite far far apart as well sometimes so for that that’s why it’s on my dislikes number four is the hills if you’re liking the video so far guys please hit the thumbs up and leave a comment below on your thoughts on on this like of abidine or likes and stay tuned for my next video next week which is five likes on abidine and hit the Subscribe button if you haven’t already to find videos more like this so let’s get into number five and number five is the people surprisingly I’m not saying I don’t like Scottish people but I think some of them are quite rud rude sometimes and pretty racist um I met a few nice people but they’re very um cold as well like I mean majority of British people are I know from my culture pretty cold and they stick to their own um I won’t say the the most nicest people um they’ not been discriminating or anything it’s just like you can tell by their body language their personal expression and they’re not it doesn’t seem like they’re willing to help you or talk to you in other words so it’s not for for that reason that’s why I put it as as number five on my list is they’re not they don’t seem very friendly I’m not saying all of Scotland I’m just from my personal experience in abidine so thank you for watching the video guys uh make sure you hit the Subscribe button and stay tuned for the next video next week which is my five likes in abedine and I’ll see you in the next one thank you for [Music] watching

  1. F*ck off you Manc pric7 ! We don't wan't want you here with your entitled attitude. I have worked in 23 countries – I ALWAYS choose to return to Aberdeen,
You see that train station, bus station and airport? They go in two directions – get the fuc7 out

  2. 1. Yeah, it’s bloody freezing.
    2. Yes, it’s pretty grey. The architecture can look amazing and very unique in a certain light. On a winters morning with a hangover it’s a real downer.
    3. Yup, it’s a long way from anywhere.
    4. I don’t think Aberdeen is particularly hilly. Certainly not compared to Edinburgh.
    5. I met some great people.

  3. Hahaha, Move to North Scotland and moan about the Weather , the hills and how far it is from everything…City boy doesn't like rural obviously….🤣😂🤣

  4. This is a sad comment you have had to make towards the English in Scotland. I am English, sort of as I am a Geordie, but I can understand your reaction to this negative person from Manchester. I would much rather live in Aberdeen than Manchester any day!

  5. Ive not long moved up from yorkshire to dundee..which is kinda down the road from aberdeen 🙂 and im still trying to find the best place for me to build a home in. My mum and many of my ancestors were scottish and ive lived in edinburgh about 20yrs ago and loved it, so i never thought anything of moving up…but I agree with your dislikes and likes of aberdeen. I have never felt so isolated and im in dundee city…nobody barely says hello, let alone chat with you. And i do sense a very anti-english feel of disappointment if i even speak to locals at the supermarket etc. I think scottish people are supposed to be friendly but i think if you come from manchester and myself from yorkshire, I honestly dont think anywhere in the uk is going to be as friendly and down to earth as people. Maybe scouse or geordie perhaps. But the problem is. Chatting and showing respect is normal in manchester and yorkshire and meeting and living with multicultures and languages is so normal that we arent threatened by it. And in fact i miss multicultures and all my friends and colleagues so much because they were largely foreign or a different colour! And i got to say ive not had a decent curry or cup of tea since i got here! 🙂 but 🙂 before others hate me for saying this…i think its just scottish people most likely (unless they live in the central belt) don't know why its so important…because they may not see beyond their front door or area too! So they havent grown up or lived life any different so to speak. You know what i mean?! Its so far and wide to get from one big place to another up here they probably havent needed to grow or change etc. Where as i could be on 5 different motorways heading to 5 or more different cities within 20mins every direction! And still enjoy the countryside down in yorkshire! You see what i mean?! Anyway, i agree the nature is stunning, the beaches beautiful, and colours great…but im yet to decide where or if i can feel welcome or at home here. I also miss the military presence… and i think that brings a respectful way of living and intergrating into a community too.
Anyway, dont be put off by the haters, they are only proving your point! And hopefully they will travel or relocate or even visit manchester or wherever one day and realise it is hard to beat this type of friendliness and inclusion. That said glasgow maybe more so. Anyway, enough 🙂 hope you and your family enjoy your time in aberdeen. 🌿🌿

  6. Weather is what a normal person would expect….the buildings are granite…it's far from the places that are miles away…Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee are more hilly…most people are the same everywhere…crikey you really were picky there! 😂

  7. I completely agree with you excluding the people thing .. they are nice and I am sorry for the because they are still in Aberdeen 😅..
I lost my job to move out of Aberdeen .. in deed nice city to raise up children only ..
Afte 3 years of living in Aberdeen with my wife I moved south on kinda holiday visited Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, London., And I found out I was in a miserable place.

  8. A lot of this is a matter of perspective. I used to nit find aberdeen pretty but my mjnd has changed having gotten to know my way around more

  9. Roles off 4 things he doesn't like about Aberdeen then says if you're enjoying the video leave a like . Now number 5 the people. The people aren't very nice 😅

  10. This not true I'm from Aberdeen and people are not racist and we are friendly are city is appeling just a bit Gray like people on YouTube litterly love Aberdeen because it's Gray and people from Aberdeen are quite dumb I'd say

  11. Hello, I hope you’re doing well. I truly appreciate the valuable support you offer to students. I’m an international student joining SRUC Aberdeen this September, and I wanted to kindly ask about the current part-time job scenario in the city. Are international students generally able to find work easily these days?
