2 links too short for me personally, but definitely acceptable on a hardtail. Also steel is real! I miss my steel hardtail.

Looks fine to me. Another link next time wouldn’t hurt.

Are those road SPD pedals? Also agree chain is good but maybe add a link next time you get a new one. And steel is real, love my steel HT

If you have no any issue to shift to biggest cog – it is ok. If there is minor issue with it – just add two links.

Looks like a SiR9. Just adjust the ebb rearward a touch to slacken the chain a little I reckon. Technically fine as is (on a hardtail), but suspect you might find it a little noisy in that big cog.

Basically.. It’ll be fine. It might not hurt to add a set of links in, depending on the capacity of your derailleur and how well it takes up the slack when you shift to the smallest gear, but as long as it doesn’t have trouble getting into the one you’re in in the picture, I wouldn’t worry about it.

Check you b gap, it looks a little far out which might be why you chain looks so short. The fast and dirty way to do this is shift to gear 2 and adjust the b gap so that the guide pulley is just clear of gear 1. You could also look up srams specs and adjust it that way.

No. For a hardtail, that’s perfect.
