I used to have a grx-rd-810 rear derailleur on the bike (stock from Stevens Bikes, Vapor 1×11 model) but am trying to switch to a grx-rd-822-sgs to fit a larger cassette.
However even with the b-screw fully bottomed out, even the smallest cog on the cassette touches the G-pulley so it doesn't run smoothly. I have tried the normal +2 links on the chain length, as well as the recommended lengths of +4 and +6 links by Shimano.
All ideas are welcome!!! 😅🙏

Is that a direct mount hanger? Did the previous derailleur fit in the same way?
That is installed wrong, the B-tension screw does not set against the hanger tab directly. there is a tab/bracket on the mounting bolt, take the derailleur off, rotate that bracket so thats its tab is against the B-tension screw and the bottom part of it is against the hanger tab on the frame.
note: you will never need to set the B-tension screw all the way in if you are using correct chain length and are within Shimano specs for tooth capacity of the derailleur and shifting system.
I would reduce tension of the b screw cause it pulls the derailleur back and therefore closer to the cassette.
Afaik, that’s a non B link derr. Like all of the new wide range derrs, so that will work with regular hangers but not with the direct hangers that you have here.

So I guess a new hanger.
The new derr don’t have variable capacity like the old shadow derrs, I guess that’s because of no B link.
