  1. Get better levers. Those levers are crap. And don’t use a lever to put the tire on. You can take the tire off with 1 lever. Get good

Are you creating slack as you go? Push the tire bead into the deepest part of the rim on the starting side (the middle of the rim) and pull the slack you create on both sides while maintaining tension and work your way around to the opposite side.

If you have good technique, many tires will go on without levers at all.

Some tire/rim combos are just a pain. Sometimes using talcum powder or soapy water helps. Sometimes letting the tire sit out in the sun for a while helps. But always start with technique.

you probably got the wire ones, folding ones are more expensive but much easier to put on

It’s more of a “why does you chosen choice of tyre and wheel combo cause this issue”

I have Lun Hyper Carbon rims and GP5K’s which many have stated are a huge PITA to fit but I was able to do so with hands only with zero need for tyre levers and removing I only need to lift them off the rim.

You should be able to put the tire on by hand.ypur technique is wrong. You may need tire hooks to removal tire but not put them on

Those tire levers are worse then just using your hands, get Pedro or Unior tire levers!

  7. I think it’s due to the tubeless demand. I don’t remember ever using proper tools to take off tires prior to 2010

  8. You need better tools I once got a nuke proof ones and now they haven’t broken for years
