I’m 172cm tall, which is around average height in Singapore. Most of the frames I’ve come across or previously owned were size S–M, and they always felt a bit too small for me.

This is my Bridgestone CB-1, which I believe is a size M. I transferred most of the components over from my GT Karakoram, except for the Edwan Bao segmented fork and the Ken Sunrise bars.

It’s pretty tough to find bikes like this in Singapore at a good price as most are overpriced, even compared to modern MTBs. I hate to admit it, but I spent $400 on the frame alone. Still, when you look at the alternatives, a complete Bridgestone build would’ve easily cost me $1,200 or more, which is just insane.

All in, this build cost me under $700 including Hope Pro 2 hubs laced to Dartmoor rims, an SLX groupset, and a RaceFace crank.

Love everything about this, especially the tires, front basket, and bag. Can’t believe this was under $700.
