Finished the build last november, but haven't managed to wrap up a post about it. Now i want to share my build.
I coldset the rear triangle to use a more modern rear hub with a 10-speed cassette.
Also stripped and polished the rear dropouts.
As it tourns out the tubing is not as corrosion resistant as i thought so these parts started to rust. I spraypainted them with acrylic clear coat afterwards same goes for the handlebars.
Parts list:
Frameset: Bianchi Adventure LX
Rims: Wolber Titanium Light
Rear hub: Shimano FH-RS 400 (130mm spacing)
Front hub (dynamo): DH-3N80
Spokes: DT Swiss Race 2-1.8-2
From the parts-bin:
Handlebar: Surly Moloko
Rear derailleur: SRAM X-7 with 10-speed Tiagra jockey wheels
Cassette: Shimano 105 11-36 10-speed
Crankset: Shimano GRX FC-RX600 30-46
I used the thumb shifters that came with the bike originally. Shifts like a dream.
Really happy with how it turned out.
Riding it all year nearly every day to work.
Looking forward to my next build now.
