So this bike was sitting in my dad’s garage for ages. It’s a Shimano Deore XT bike (gear shifters, v-brakes.. etc.) as you can see on photos it’s a full suspension bike. I don’t know anything about front suspension but the rear one is SID. It has 3×9 gearbox. Everything part on the bike is from factory only the seat has been changed. Also i tried to look for a serial number but it’s not there. I hope someone can help me because I've searched everywhere on the internet and haven't found anything similar to this bike.

BMC is a Swiss brand. This looks like a pretty early full suspension XC(?) bike from them. It had a pretty high end parts package for its time.
The modern day equivalent would be [something like this](https://us.bmc-switzerland.com/products/fourstroke-four-bikes-bmc-24-10517-007).
The bike you have is a fun relic, but not something you’d want to use to get into mountain biking. I’d clean it up really well and hang it on the wall, and if it rides okay, pull it down so I can ride it to parties or pub nights with my cycling buddies. Also put fresh tires on it because those are done.
Deore XT 9 speed puts it in the 1999-2007 range. The rear derailleur is a M750/M760, they are very similar. Maybe someone who knows the differences between the two can ID it. Given the bike’s design I think it is near the early side of the range. Later bikes used a pivot design that allowed for more travel.
I am having a hard time finding any information about early BMC bikes. I can’t find an archive of catalogs searching in both English and German before the early 2010s.
It might be worth [trying to contact BMC](https://bmc-switzerland.com/pages/contact-us).
