Dropped the chain changing gears while accelerating and jammed it nicely between the frame and the small chainring. Wasn't until I pulled it all apart a week later that realised the extent of the damage.
Looks nasty but from what I could see up close is I've scraped the paint and the top smoothing compound. Bit of "carbon fibre" bandage and as good as new. 🤞
What are people's experiences with frame damage as a result of a dropped chain? This was a first for me after almost 20,000km on this bike.

I would resin that.
That is definitely more than clearcoat and paint… That area takes a lot of force and load. Would get that looked at professionally.
Or at a minimum put silly putty under and use a real bandaid.
Check out Ruckus Composites in Portland. They have saved several frames for me.
