  1. Rim brakes are fine in the dry decenting a mountain in the wet on rim brakes scary. But yeah disc are going to stay. Nicer wheels possible , rim brake and carbon does not combine well. Carbon gets overheated with risks for tyre blast afain when decenting. Pro riders did not really suffer from this in the past since they don't brake that much to go need to go fast 😅 but for the hobby rider like me rim brakes are easy to maintain, reliable and also beautiful nice pieces of engineering.

  2. And you only have to wait half a second for braking to actually occur in the wet. I'll stick with discs thanks.
