I participated in my first Dunwich Dynamo, a 180km overnight ride starting from London to the Suffolk coast in the east side of the UK. It's a free event without any registration so you kinda just show up and do it! About 2000 cyclists participate each year so pubs and other businesses will stay open all night to serve food and drinks along the way. It was such a great experience!
One issue is that most of the train stations in the area don't accept bikes to avoid overcrowding so people usually sign up for a coach or something to take them back to London. I'm pretty sure you can sneak on to a train with a packed Brompton if you don't look like a cyclist but technically they aren't allowed either. Anyways, this year a few of the London Brompton Club members decided to just camp a couple nights afterwards.
So we did the whole 180 ride with our camping gear! It was also another 120km over the next couple days. I was pleasantly surprised with my average speed of 22.4kmh for the ride since I wasn't really trying to go fast but it shows to me how easy it is to keep that pace when there are barely any traffic lights.

I always enjoy seeing how people use their Brompton for longer adventures. Looks like a fun time!
That’s insane great job
