I had been eyeballing these since they dropped, but couldn't justify the price when I already had a perfectly good pair of shoes. Unfortunately, I had a small crash recently and scuffed the hell out of my white shoes so I was starting to look around at options again. When Competitive Cyclist had 20% off last weekend, I figured why not, thinking that'd be the lowest they'd go for a while.
I knocked out 65 miles in them today and they're quite comfy. The only downside is you can't back off the tension without undoing all the tension. I miss my BOAs in that regard.
Now, based on this photo, it looks like it might be time for some new socks.
