125 max …you’re probably better off with a Ozark Trail hardtail from Walmart for 250 tbh.

A good deal for the seller sure. Keep looking or save up a couple more hundred. Look for a 2019 Trek Roscoe im sure you’ll find a used one in decent condition for a similar price.

This was my first bike and boy do i miss it. Beat the hell out of it for a few years and broke every. Single. Thing. By the time i was done it was just the frame and headset spacers left!
Although this one looks like a good idea an ozark trail is probably going to be much better in its stock config. I’ll throw out a few key points to take away from this comparison though.
So first off with this trek you’re stuck to a straight steerer tube, but it’s not the end of the world. Fork upgrades in the future are limited to a rockshox recon (actually was really good on mine) or a manitou markhor (also really good for light trail use and will last a while). Both flexible forks but if you’re a beginner they’re great.
The problem i found with this trek is that i broke every single part off of it. Not one thing was designed to last and it really just feels like a money grab bike for trek. I wasn’t riding all too hard in those years either the bike just has god awful parts on it, head to toe, full stop. The frame is one of the only nice riding and lasting things on it but even that has its drawbacks like the head tube fork compatibility issues mentioned above.
The ozark trail on the other hand can
-fit any fork you’d want
-has a bit more aggressive geometry (important for most instances)
-has literally better parts on it head to toe even though they’re not all that good, but for beginner stuff they’ll last a while.
But that doesn’t come without its own problems. I’ve heard they have a frame cracking issue in the dropouts and it’s something to think about!
Both arent forever bikes but i think the ozark trail is a “longer” bike if that makes sense
Long story short this treks not worth 250. More worth about 125.

It seems like a lot of people don’t have good facebook market places around them. Mine has 2019-2021 entry level full suspension mountain bikes for like $500. That’s the lowest end I would take out
