This mark is off center by about 1/8”, 3mm. I didn’t notice until I measured just now. The handling of the bike did occasionally feel a tiny bit weird, and in hindsight one of my hands sometimes felt a little more sore than the other.

I’m going to let the bike rust to pieces just to keep somebody else from installing drop bars and a 1×13 drivetrain on it. Edit: this photo reflects the condition after one year of hard all weather use on and off road and being stored outdoors. It’s going to need a new chain before winter. If it’s freezing outside and the bike is wet, I’ll bring it in, otherwise it gets a bath when it rains and I’ll wipe it with a towel.

Always park your bike inside. It will rust to pieces if you leave it outside at night.
