So to the eighth and final stage of Jirro Ditalia women 134 km ride entirely through Emilia Romana from Forly to the Emila Alto drama Enzo Adino Ferrari and 127 riders available for duty on the final day of race action. Nostalaza looking after the blue jersey. But all eyes on pink. The malarosa. Alisa Longo Borgghini looking to preserve her 22 second advantage over Marlon Royster in general classification. When the flag came in, well, the attacks came hot and heavy in the early stages with everyone looking to fire one final attack, one final bid for glory after a long week of racing. The local teams making way for some of the big favorites ultimately in the early attacks as Loreno IAS leading a group clear. Very strong group of three on the first of eight classified climbs along the way. The Galasta climb familiar to fans of the 2020 World Championship raced over a similar course in and around Imila. Rainois the leader and indeed the winner of the points classification and Malar Rosa up front after two stage victories during the week back in the main pelatonaza not able to score the points that would help her to retain that jersey. Sarah Jagante profiting from the group of favorites behind as Weebis and others joined by another two riders. Michaela Harvey bridging Sarah Casola in the early move for the Phoenix to Coin squad. Anna Henderson going backwards from the group of favorites. But a good week for her stage win and a couple of days in pink to celebrate. And she had Amanda Sprat clear of the field having bridged to the three riders up front which included Leia Kurin the French rider for FDJ Suez. Behind the main Pelaton shrinking in number and never really giving the leaders up front much daylight. Counterattacks coming from behind and the AG Sudal squad involved in so much of the race action during the week. Laura Desepper among their standout riders. Lorena Weebas distanced from the breakaway dropped into the fold as Sarah Jagante maintained a position close to the front and as they took the bell at the racetrack. We’re inside 30 km to go. The advantage for the leaders up front, a narrow and not quite decisive one. Bridging to the leaders, Sila Schmoulders to make a name for herself on the final day. The Lalula Jacob squad rider showing well in the final few days of race action and appearing to be the strength of a group with Kinier having been in the break all day starting to wilt. Harvey hanging on in there having bridged earlier on. Lika Nuyan looking to race across to the leading trio and she didn’t have quite enough firepower and was reclaimed by the main pelaton before making it across and onto the final climb of the day. The Chima Galastna. Silka Schmoulders almost reabsorbed before she took the final points on offer for the queen of the mountains classification. Aandanda Breen still up front and with dreams of stage honors on the day Royakus at the back of the group would celebrate a fourth place finish on overall general classification. Annavand Breen within the final three kilometers launching clear trademark attack from the four-time overall winner. The SD works protime rider had Lyanna Lipert from the Movi Star team for company as they raced under the kite. The expected attack hadn’t come from Marilyn Royer. So the Movie Star team looking for a double stage victory from three stages and indeed a third stage win of the week. and Lyanna Liippard launching a searing sprint to deny Vander Breen. Liippard taking a second stage victory of the win of the week behind Marlon Royster leading the group in for third but arm held a loft in pink. Alisa Longo Borgghini celebrating her second successive victory in Jirro datalia women. Liippard gets the win ahead of Vanderen and Marlon Royer making it a one- finish for Moistar. Alisa Longaborgini 18 seconds to the good in securing a second successive win. Marlon Royster and Sarah Jagante joining her on the final winners podium and Lena Was taking the red jersey dominant performance. Two stage wins along the week and Sarah Jagante the outstanding climber of the week and winning the Malia Adsura to go with it. Antonio Neidmar racing through the week in the white jersey of best young rider [Music] and the super team AG Insurance Sudal Squad. Two riders in the top 10. They win the team award. But the name etched on the final winner’s trophy, that of Alisa Longo Borggini.

🎉🎉🎉
music is a bit over the top
Love when these bike races get onto car race tracks like this and their beautiful curves. So pleasing to my eyes to see road cyclists on these race tracks.
Why not finish in Rome? Seems unfair to them
Grande Lippert, grande Marlen , y enhorabuena a Borghini, una ciclista de 10
Una vera campionessa Elisa ,grandissima
Impressive athletes. But shouldn't these women be looking for a husband
Simply love watching the ladies racing 🎉❤
ELB a great champion and winner but I am here for Sarah Gigante, just one of the best cyclists in Australia. Podium and mountains’ jerseys! Well done Sarah.
What is this joke music?
What a pitty Marlen Reusser was sick the last 3 stages (stage 6-8)! Otherwise Marlen Reusser would have won this Giro very easily! Movistar was the best team with 3 stage wins (2x Liane Lippert and 1x Marlen Reusser TT)!
Glückwunsch an Liane. Grüßle vom Bodensee
