Just got my hands on my new cube agree pro and this is the furthest I can turn the handles both directions. I've never had this on any bike I've owned or hired. Google tells me it might be a thing for MTB. Is this a feature on newer bikes now? The only think is that it would prevent top tube strike in a crash. That or my mechanic messed up..
Thanks

You have a ‘knock block’ headset. The forks could hit your frame when turning, so that thing prevents it. Not sure if it can be removed, it most likely can be. But the question is if it’s a smart thing to do.
Be careful about modifying the steering lock. The Agree Pro is fully internally routed, so turning more than that might damage the lines and wires.
It is made to prevent your fork from smashing into your frame in case of a crash. Since when riding you will never have to steer more than this angle anyway, Cube thought this was a good idea. It does indeed make it a bit harder to move the bike around when you are pushing it though.
I’d bet it also sharply reduces the chafing between all the controls diving down the stem. I’d monitor whatever mechanism is making contact at the stop. One bike I saw just depended on a carbon bump on the frame as the stop.
