Had to get a new brake cable which means I needed new bar tape. I thought the tape was black but to my surprise…. Spent an hour trying to get the lines lined up at my LBS, with the help of 2 bike mechanics and this is the best we could do….
And yes I have a front brake. But trying to get these lines in order made my brain hurt. That said, these are the most comfortable bar tapes I’ve ever had. #cinelli #mash #volee

There is no shame in running a brake.
Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it as the saying goes.
Before reading the context I thought it was a type of camouflage
And about the brakes, it will never be wrong to ride your bike safely
the tape looks butchered, but no shame in having a brake
I also run a front brake because I HAVE WORK IN THE MORNING.

Hey it’s okay, I’ve got 2 brakes. And I ran them before I was a dad. After having my wheel slip in the drop outs once I never ran brakeless again.
go with zipp cx service course bar tape but don’t go all the way to the stem.
My gf made me get a front break , to paraphrase her, “you’d look much less handsome if you broke your face”.
