I want to ride from Cape Alava Washington to West Quoddy Head Maine (as the title says these are the westernmost point and easternmost point)
But I would also like to ride through Texas- my home state.
Would a route like this make sense?
Could I start in October (in Washington State headed north)
Any suggestions would be great!

Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, etc… might all want a word with you! š
Guess you’re gonna have to add those to your bucket list.
Can’t help but think theres a more direct route
I mean you could but you are gonna run into snow.
October start? No. Crossing the northern US Rockies in October is foolish at best, lethal at worst. Winter will be in full effect at the higher elevations and if I’m reading the route correctly, you plan on crossing one of Colorado’s high passes (looks like Hoosier?) at the end of the first four weeks. That’s either the end of October when snowmaking is in full effect at the ski resorts because night-time temps are consistently below the 17 F needed, or the middle of November, when the ski resorts start opening.
And frankly, that route, even if you started on October 1, would probably put you on Lake Erie around January and that’s a terrible idea for a bike tour. You should aim for a tour start that *finishes* by October 1, not starting then.
A ride like this does not have sense to be made. It’s whatever you want.
I used to live in the Easternmost point. It’s nice out there.
Iād do it in two part with a break for winter
