This is the 220 km stone circle event. A set off at 5:00 a.m. from the festival fort in Salsbury with a sausage bap in hand, ready for a big day of gravel climbs and great views. After a quick walk past Stonehenge, the route took us through some mod training areas with some absolutely prime gravel tracks. And I managed to avoid being flattened by a tank. I jumped on the back of this group of legends that were flying along and they dragged me all the way to the first feed station. A few steep climbs and a rear puncture later, I reached the second feed station and topped up with pizza and mini chedders. Not even 5 minutes after setting off again, I managed to crash into a bog and get stung by a wasp for the first time in my life. Nice one. With the final feed station enjoyed and ticked off, sub 11 hours was on the cards after a fairly relaxed day. So, I got a move on. Arrow still matters on gravel. So, I got my head down and made it in 10 hours and 50 minutes before necking a couple of beers and trying to avoid heat stroke again. 10 out of 10.
