The Ireland fellow programs enables early to meet career professionals from eligible countries with leadership potentials to benefit from a pretitious worldclass quality education contributing to capacity building. It offers selected students and the opportunity to undertake a fully funded one-year M’s level program at a higher education institution in Ireland. The award covers program fees, flights, accommodation and living cost. Eligible M’s level programs in Ireland commence in August or September each year and depending on the program will run for between 10 and 16 months. Which scholarship are we really talking about? We’re talking about the Iand fellows programs. This one is for Africa. They have for other countries, other nationals. Okay. So, I’ll be leaving the link of this website. You just look for your country. So the Ireland fellows program promotes gender equality equal opportunity and welcomes diversity. Our development policy is aligned with sustainable development goals that’s SDGs which is 16 on building effective accountability and inclusive institution at all levels and we are encouraging application from the broadest possible base. The program welcomes application from applicants with disabilities and applicants who belong to a minority or disadvantaged group. We would like to increase the representation of female applicants and those whose gender identity does not align with the male or female gender binary. So this program is under global Ireland and the national implementation plan for the sustainability development goals the SDGs. Okay. So this program is managed by relevant embassy responsible for eligible countries program implementation in Ireland is supported by the Irish council for international students. So these are mainly for Africans but you have to come here and see if your countries are eligible. If your country is eligible. So eligible courses eligible courses are in areas such as agriculture, health, education, human rights, computer science, engineering, business and more and are listed in a director of in directory of eligible programs. Okay, so let’s continue. So to be able to be eligible for an Ireland fellow program, African award commencing at the beginning of the academic year 2026, applicant must be a resident national of one of the countries listed below. So application for the academic year 2026 are now open. So you can apply. So let’s see the eligibility for this casement fellowship. Okay. Be a resident national of Nigeria. Have a minimum of 2 years substantial work experience that is directly relevant to your proposed program of study. hold a M a bachelor’s level academic qualification from an accredititated and government recognized higher education institution with a minimum grade point of 3.0 to 4.0 zero scale that is a first class honor or second class honor grade one a second class honor grade two may be accepted if the applicant has substantial directly relevant work experience you see why I always say that you are more than your certificate so now these people say that they may accept second class honor grade two if you have substantial directly relevant work experience it must have been awarded in 2024 or later or later. Okay. So within the last 12 years. Do you understand? So not already hold a qualification at master’s level or higher. not currently undertaking a program at master level or higher or be due to start a program at M’s level or a higher in the in the academic year 2025 2026 be applying to commence a new program at M’s level in Ireland no sooner than August 2026 so be able to demonstrate the following leadership ability and aspiration a committed to the achievement of the SDGs. So this this particular program is primarily um focused on SDGs within your own country and a commitment to contribute to building positive relationship with Ireland. This is super amazing. They are promoting the 16 SDGs depending on the one that is suitable for your cause or your area of interest and you must also be committed to building positive relationship with Arland. have identified and selected three programs relevant to your academic and professional background. So let’s look at the programs. So they said have a understanding of the academic and English language proficiency required for all program chosen. Okay. So let’s look at the eligible programs they have. So you see they have so many programs. They have too many programs. Okay. So they say key to Irish university technological university and colleges with listed program. They have see the programs they have different programs they have and the universities name okay program eligible for study they have LLM in criminology and criminal justice remember this particular case meant fellowship is for law and you can also apply for this particular one I’m going to be opening that but you can either apply to this first one or you apply to this Roger case men’s fellowship. So let’s not get um confused. MS in disability, MA in dispute resolution, MSC in equality studies. So they have too many opportunities for everybody programs eligible for studies. So each of these ones, each of the programs they listed above, they were able to, you know, tell the duration of each of them, what the program entails, the program outline, okay, indicative content, admission requirements. So these are the things that you have to come here and read. They said minimum overall score of 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any one component. That’s for IELTS. But this IELTS is not compulsory. But even if you don’t have your IELTS, if you’ve not written IELTS, this um program they are going to give you um access to IELTS which you will be writing before you move to the next stage. You pick any of them that suits you, that suits your area of interest and then you write it down. Okay, you write it down. Write down the code and everything. Okay, have a clear understanding of academic and English language proficiency required for all program chosen. Must not have applied to the Ireland Fellow program on on more than one previous occasion. be in position to take up the fellowship in the academic year 2026 2027. This opportunity is for 2026 27 but you’ll be applying this year. In addition, please see the Ireland fellowship program African page. Okay. For Africans SID all these countries you have to open this one to see the Ireland SIS fellows page. Okay. So moving forward have a minimum of 2 or 3 years substantial work experience that is directly relevant to your proposed program of study depending on the country. Okay. So be in a position to take up the fellowship in the academic year 2027. I said that before. So in addition applications are by invitation only. Okay. in the following country. See the countries application is by invitation. This means that fellowships in those countries are restricted to the staff of government departments and nos which work in partnership with Irish aid and to personnel of organizations that are aligned with Irish aids development strategy in their country which have already been identified by the embassy of Ireland application from outside this partnership would not be eligible. So these countries are just for um department government department and NOS’s. To find out if you’re eligible to apply, please contact relevant um embassy of Ireland or your or your employer. So let’s see how you can get their contacts. So to be able to get their contact, see the countries that are listed, okay, all of these countries. If you want more information on the Ireland fellowship program, please contact your nearest embassy of Ireland. Click on your country below to contact the relevant embassy of Ireland mission for you. So once it opens like this, you select any of these countries. There you’ll be able to see the contact person’s information then you reach out to them. Okay. So yeah moving forward the fellowship covers the recipients only financial support of visa for spouses or dependent are not included within the scope of the program application please read the applicant guidance note carefully before completing as eligibility criteria might differ from country to country. So they have different um application process which consist of three stages. Okay. Now stage one is uh preliminary application, stage two is detailed application and stage three is interviews. All applicants who are selected to progress after the second stage will be required to sit an online dualingo test. You see so you first of all be selected if shortlisted after the interview stage all applicants will be required to take another English language test. Normally the IEL exam unless they are already in possession of an IEL certificate that is dated 2023 or later which shows the applicant has achieved the necessary score for for the courses they intend to apply. Okay, do you get? So early preparation for IEL exam is strongly advised even for native English speakers. Even if you are from Englishspeaking country, okay, you still have to take the Dolingo test and they are going to help you with the resources, the voucher to be able to write the Dolingo test. But if you already have or you’ve written the IELTS exam, they are not going to um sponsor you. You just have to provide your IELTS um result. So let’s see this application guide notes. The award includes the payment of academic fees, visa application fees, medical and travel insurance, economic flights to and from a island, and the Iris resident permit fee. Allowances include the following: a settling in allowance towards item needed on arriving in Ireland. A completion and departure allowance at the end of the study period. A monthly living stipend of 700 euro subject to review. Student accommodation arranged and paid for trimester 1 and two normally September to May. And in trimester 3, a monthly accommodations typed of 800 to€1,000 depending on location in Ireland subject to review. Okay. So I think we’ve read the um eligibility and all of that. So they say in addition the Aland fellows program future many extracurricular training and volunteering opportunity to help you make the most of your experiences in Ireland. Okay. So we’ve read the um eligibility before. Okay. So moving forward now the application process consists of three stages. Stage one is preliminary um application which opens on 20th of June 2025 and closes on 25th July 2025. A copy of the stage one application form can be found below. Our selection panel will assess your eligibility under the various criteria for the um program. Eligible applications at stage one will be scored at the selection panel. You can download the stage one application from here. Okay. And the Nigeria and Ghana via this. So if you are from other nationals, other countries, you download from here application form. And for Nigerians and Ghanaians, you have to um go to education in Ireland website. Let me open it. So you will be contacted to be um you will be contacted by the embassy once final decision have been made and informed whether you have been successful or unsuccessful at stage one. Please do not otherwise contact the Irish embassy during this period. eligible contacted eligible shortlisted applicants who do not yet have the English language certification required for their master’s program in Ireland would take the Dolingo test. You see I’ve said it before they’re going to give you like a voucher. So the second stage stage two is detailed application which opens um 22nd September to 17th October 2025. If your stage one application and your English language test are successful, you’ll be invited to move on to stage two of the process and complete a more detailed application form including the submission of all required documents.
