  1. I had the first Decoy for a couple of years. Great bike. I saw the new mid powers on sale a couple of weeks ago for crazy discounts and almost pulled the trigger on one but didn't because Fazua. Anyway, this email is a dealbreaker for me. YT is done IMHO.

  2. If YT announced they were coming out with a DJI ebike– (and dumped all there current stock of decoys overboard in an accident)– available for August delivery to the US and beyond they would be the richest direct to consumer bike company around. Just sayn'. You are spot on at the end of the video, I think they made a very poor decision to not embrace and come forward, no one cares about a new Jeffsy with different paint, but the bike world would have loved to see a modern decoy.

  3. really surprised. I thought they had an excellent customer model and were the ones for others to model after. They are a great brand, hope they come through.

  4. I was a lucky one and got Decoy SN with the Summer sale a got it last week. Only 1 ride, but it's great ebike for someone that still has some fitness. Got 5 laps at UC and still has 54% left riding on Eco mode. I think it compares favorably to the Heckler SL and Ari Nebo Peak, as the Decoy SN is one of the few true e-enduro sleds at 45lbs. But we'll see how things plays out and hopefully I won't have any warranty issues.

  5. E-bikes are creating a market that’s too big for consumers. You live and die by fads. E-bikes are a fade and making us weaker as a whole. If you and I ride the same trails daily and all of a sudden we switch bikes I can assure you I’ll get up the mountain twice as fast as you did on your own bike because I’ve trained and built muscle while you were losing muscle.

  6. Not surprised. I actually just sold my 2021 YT Decoy with the weak EP8 motor and just ordered the Forbidden Druid with the DJI motor. YT is behind in tech.

  7. I’m a little no a lot pissed at the moment!!!! Just ordered a Decoy Core 5 yesterday because I got a email from YT stating they were back in stock so I immediately ordered it “Geez I’m so Stupid “ but I didn’t know !!! But YT knew what was going on and still taking money 🤬 So I emailed YT customer service because Lort help you can’t talk to someone….and believe or not got a email back stating that the USA is not affected it’s only Germany and bikes are planned to ship he also stated that I could cancel my order if I wanted to, he also stated they are help to help 🤷‍♂️ just don’t know what to do or what to believe

  8. HANGING ON , not knowing what's going on. Paid for bike and haven't received my new bike. YT says the American market is ok? No I don't feel good right know.

  9. I still like my Decoy. Just point it DH and hold on. No need to choose a "good" line. It plows it all nicely. Let's hope they come out of this stronger, smarter and leaner. I always had good US customer service from the Mill in soCal

  10. Gotta be a really big fish that suffers a similar fate soon… Any guesses? Maybe Yeti? Massive miss on their latest ebike release…and have fallen off in general in the recent past…

  11. Never was a fan of yt bikes. I have looked at them and they are definitely cheaper made. They need to work on fully internal cable/hose routing and also use threaded button brackets. Come on they are still using press fit what a joke.

  12. I just picked up a Decoy MX a month ago, for a pretty good deal too. To say the least, I'm having an absolute blast on it and it's not the latest tech at all, but it's still damn fun. I guess I don't know what I'm missing on the DJI and Bosch, but I saved 50% to still have a blast.

  13. YT is in the same boat as KTM was. KTM restructured but eventually went bk. $3 billion is hard to restructure. Their still racing and in business. Hopefully YT can do the same.

  14. Honestly there are just too many ebike makers out there right now fighting it out. Look at Motocross dirt bikes.. Really only about 7 brands yet there is like about 25 brands of e-mountain bikes. There is definitely going to be more casualties in the near future.
