A decently beat up Bianchi Campion Del Monde, with cuuuute cane creek aero brakes, a fluted seatpost, and lots ofther lil neat bits and bobs. My guy has small hands and not a ton of reach,, so we were thinking of doing mustache bands with inverse levers, but he likes the look of drops, just can't quite reach the levers to effectively apply pressure on the brakes, so we might run interruptor levers so he can brake from the flats. Other than that, it's super pretty for how much of a patina it's acquired, and it's fairly light! Chromoly main triangle, alloy frame and fork I think hi ten. 1986-7. Anyone know more about it?

  1. I know this is completely unsolicited advice, but at 4’11” it could be an enormous game changer. Have you or he considered [shorter cranks](https://www.modernbike.com/product-2126288888)? The shortest length available when that bike was made is 170mm, so that’s probably what’s on it now.

It won’t help at all with the reach, but it will make peddling much more enjoyable. I’m a foot taller and my much larger bike came with 170mm cranks. We wouldn’t ride the same size frame because our bodies are different sizes, so why should we ride the same length crank?

Is there a sticker on the top tube at all? Campione del mondo is not a model name, it’s just a sticker that Bianchi put on a lot of bikes in the mid 80s when a Bianchi rider won a world championship. I have a Strada Lx of similar vintage that looks a lot like yours although it didn’t come with a cool red saddle — same decals plus a Strada one on the top tube.

  3. There are always several short frame super high quality bikes on the Houston and Austin Craigslist pages like the Pinarello i just noticed.
