Hi! I’m trying to decide between bikes and I’m totally overwhelmed by my options. Attached are pics of ones I’m looking at, would love any input or advice. For reference I’m 5’10, planning on mostly road cycling and want good speed but would like the option to go on some basic trails.
Im looking at
– 80s/90s specialized allez 56cm, $500
– cannondale caad 9 56cm, $700
– grey specialized allez 54cm, $950
– red specialized something? 56cm, $700
– specialized roubaix 56cm, $950
– white specialized allez 56cm, $800 (listed as $1000 but seller said he’d go down)

Wherabouts are you? Some of these prices are ridiculous. For $700-1000 you can get a brand new road bike with similar or better specs to these.
I’m not in love with any of them. $600 should get you something aluminum frame, carbon forks, standard wheels, and 105/tiagra. And this would be a bike from 6-8 years ago.
My 1st bike was a giant defy 3 with shimano sora from 2011 and I still used that bike frame to this day having upgraded most of it. But find a bike you think looks cool to you and then look for components like sora/tiagra/105. People say they must have disc brakes, ehh rim brakes will serve you just fine (I live in WA).
A lot of those are crazy overpriced
