My 1984 steel Schwinn got bent in transit, and the wheel does not go in anymore. Are bike shops equipped to deal with that? Would love to have it aligned instead of getting a new fork
Most won’t touch it, but there are dropout alignment tools available from Parktool.

We had a big fork blade bending tool. If you can find a shop that has one, this looks like an easy fix.

You’ll want a frame builder to fix that. It’s a pretty easy job, but they’ll have the tools and jigs to make sure it’s square at the end.
Edit: because while builders having jugs is probably a thing, it was not intended here lol

[This should do ya](https://youtu.be/PsU8IkkFaok). He uses the “proper” tool in the beginning, then the DIY option later in the video. He’s using it on the rear dropouts in this but it’s the same process for a fork.

if the fork is actually steel, you can carefully and slowly bend it back

Find a shop that’s been around for few decades and they should have the tools to fix that for you, but it involves removing the fork and the cost of the repairs may quickly exceed what an old Schwinn is worth.
