Paris may be the hottest spot for tourists to France, but the south of the Olympic host country has a beauty and rhythm all its own.
Tonight on the journey to France, we’re taking you to the south of France. You know, when I think of the French Riviera, I immediately think of the Cannes Film Festival. So when we started planning our Olympic pre trip last year, we went to Cannes. It’s about 500 miles away from Paris. Now you can take a high speed train and get there in about five hours. It is worth the journey. Cannes has these beautiful beaches along the Mediterranean Sea. It’s got really boutique stores and we saw these expensive yachts in the harbor and imagine who might be on them. This is where the rich and famous hang out. But as we discovered the south of France is more than can. In fact, we talked with a lot of locals during our Pre Olympic trip who told us they prefer the quiet spots, the villages after all. That’s their backyard playground, beautiful landscapes, historic villages and of course, the Mediterranean Sea, the south of France kind of speaks for itself. So we’re in the harbor in Ky, it’s a small holiday resort and it’s, it’s as you can see a really lovely place to be. It’s kind of like a movie. Everyone’s like, really relaxed and just strolling along and enjoying their vacations. Really lovely clear water. We really enjoy going to the beach. You can have a nice drink by the harbor, watch the sunset, maybe go for a swim. And you can also head out to the Kon, which is the, the National Park just outside, uh outside Kesi. It’s a playground for people to come in and swim and relax people in kayaks gliding along, seeing people uh on the rocks, jumping into the water. Some of them jumping from quite high up, some pretty fearless jumpers here. That’s pretty amazing. We have the sea. That’s not something that I’m used to see in the north of France also. He has a charm of the city. A pretty place with a lot of colors and I think it’s a nice mix of French tourists and then people from all around the world, it’s glamorous. It’s timeless and it’s really beautiful. Pretty good life, isn’t it? It’s not bad. We can’t play. I love this assignment. I mean, well, his casual. Oh, it’s not bad. I can’t complain. It is so, so nice. Understatement. Yeah. Look, my goal here is to get people that go to France, to go to Paris and then explore the rest of the country because there is so much to see there. Absolutely. Ok. We gotta talk more about that food and a little bit. Ok.
