LBS highly recommended a guy in town who applies this stuff as a side gig and apparently he is the best. I don’t have the best of luck so any extra protection I can give my bike the better. I want to get some frame bags, etc and instead of applying small bits of “helicopter tape” just get the whole bike wrapped. Anyone have experience with this product? Pros? Cons?

I used to have to install in when I worked at a shop on mountain bikes. It was good for preventing small chips from rocks but that’s about it.
I hated installing it as it was a pain and I wasn’t good at it haha.
Seems kind of unnecessary to wrap the entire frame. I’d think it’d make more sense to just put smaller patches over frequent contact areas. Like places your lock will go when locking up. Or if parts like your fork regularly touch a rack.
It’s not going to help the life of the bike mechanically. It’ll protect it in high-contact areas from gravel/debris and thrown chains and stuff.
