I found this Centurion Le Mans in my area! I’ve been riding my used schwinn for 5 years now but my gears won’t shift anymore (might be rusted?) and my breaks have been giving me trouble for 2 years I have to get it tuned very often. I need a good road bike to commute a couple miles to campus and work everyday. The seller said they would do $175 for the centurion and I asked if I can come do a test ride. I’m 5’4. Is this a good deal for that road bike or should I just try and get my schwinn fixed? It’s been really difficult to ride hills lately with my gears all wonky. Thank you. I also just came across this city bike for $140, thoughts on the austro-Daimler bike for that price? Pictured centurion, austro, then my schwinn.

If you’re looking for more of a sporty bike, go with the centurion, but the Daimler is a step through, which is usually women’s bike, and is more for riding around paths and cities.

  2. Both bikes look well made but both could have similar issues, needing brakes and gear repair or maintenance.
It seems you want to try a drop bar bike and the centurion is a good place to start. Be sure and test ride for size and operating use
