Small hack to avoid condensation in your camera from your sweaty back

I often go cycling with my camera. I use a three-point strap and the camera rests on my back.

The viewfinder tends to fog up very quickly because of the sweat/humidity.

So I hacked together this (rather ugly) thing which turned out to solve the problem.

List of parts :

• a film canister cap
• a face mask elastic string

Punch 2 holes in the cap, insert the elastic string, tie a knot on each end and voilà, you've got a sweat barrier.

For extra isolation I added a bit of packaging foam inside the cap, which I glued with some cyanoacrylate glue. I don't know if that's absolutely necessary but it felt right.
