A rider who was the key man in the mountains for Tatty Pigatcha. Leading the charge as the pace picked up considerably just as they reached another crosswind section. Echelons forming. Hard work to keep in touch with 60 km still to go. [Music] The echelons gave hope to the front pair. Although the gap was still not sure at 2 minutes, stress and strain into a brilliant finale. Vanderpool now is in time trial mode. He goes into arrow. He gets on the tops and now he is pushing everything. 28 seconds for Machu Vanderpool. [Music] There he is taking a breather. He knows he’s going to have to kick out of there. He’s got 700 m of this drag. About 2 to 3%. It’s not a climb. It’s just a proper drag, but he’s going to have to dig really deep. Look at this big effort from the F education easy post rider but the group United looking very good at the front of this pelaton. Wa with 1 km to go. Matthew Vanderpool is going to be caught. 173 km in the lead for Matthew Vanderpool. Big move there from Israel Permitech on the right hand side. And here we are in the final kilometer now. Moving up Danny Van Pppel. Big acceleration by Topard almost hits the wheel and manages to write it. Big attack now on the right hand side as Israel Premier Tech go for this. They lead out Pascal Aan. Danny Vanderop Danny Van Pppel goes for the line. Jonathan Milan now opens up the sprint. Tim Malia, the European champion. It’s a drag race. Is Jonathan Milan going to take it? Timber Malia wins. An incredible stage. [Applause] Well, 5 minutes in the hall was a lot. So, uh we tried to help. Yeah, the pacing was quite high. I’m happy uh I can uh win my uh second stage here. Dja vu as Merlier catches Milan. A wider margin, but no less dramatic, especially after a stage lit up by Alperson’s attack. Third for Ano Deli equals his best tour stage result. Bagat Char’s yellow jersey not under threat. That could change when the climbing restarts tomorrow.
