Current hub standard size is 148mm. 141mm is the worse. Google “141mm wheel upgrade issues” and you’ll see horror stories Save for a new frame that’s 148mm.
xxx420blaze420xxx on July 14, 2025 3:42 pm You do know that these are the super heavy DH casing, right? As in not ideal at all to pedal around? You should not buy these for a 125mm XC/trail bike
OrmTheBearSlayer on July 14, 2025 3:56 pm The WT Maxxis tyres are design for 30/35mm inner rim width. They will still work on a 29mm rim though. But these are DH casings and as such will be big, heavy and slow. Not ideal for a bike that you want to pedal up a lot of hills. My advice is look round and see if you can find a DHF EXO MaxxGrip for the front and a DHR EXO or EXO+ Maxx Terra for the rear. This will give you a lighter set of tyres that are more suited to your bike and peddaly days out.
boiled_frog23 on July 14, 2025 5:24 pm At $85, you will regret these whenever you pedal up steep techy climbs. Look for a deal on lighter casing tires, you won’t regret $50 more in the tires after you top off that climb.
