They sell individual chain tensioners that can be set up with the frame to lock the Axel in place .some are bigger with the adjustment thread but there are ones that are just a ring that fits into the dropout.

Absolutely not. Best bet is to find a ratio that slams and set up your chain by the book, don’t force it on ever.

Just tighten your axle and it shouldn’t slip
