Lorena Vivas was back in the bunch. She was unable to hold on to the breakaway on that final climb and what remains of the Pelon. Now Lisa Longer Boggini was in that pink overall leaders jersey and all eyes were on Marlon Royster if she would try to make a move. But at the front of the race it was Karin of FDJ Suez who attacked the breakaway forced Michaela Harvey with her and Amanda Sprat Sar Casola of Fenix unable to hold on to the higher pace and they had such a slender lead over the Pelaton. Corinier really trying to motivate her companions to work hard in this breakaway. On the final lap on the first of our two climbs, it was Silka Snalders of Liveroola Jaca who made a move from what remained of the Pelaton. She went straight across to the breakaway, working well together at the front of the race. At the front of the Pelaton, it was Sarah Jagante, third place on GC looking for points for the Queen of the Mountains competition. She did lose that jersey yesterday to Oelaza, but back in the virtual lead as things stood towards the end of this stage. The previous world road race champion on this very course. There was a response from Smolders behind, but a slender lead for Vanderbrean and Lith as we came into the final 2K on the motor racing circuit. They would round this final bent here and enter the finishing straight with a very slender lead over the group of favorites behind. Anna Vanderan pushing on. Lanna Lippard not coming through for a turn here. Vanderan trying to push onto the line, but Lyanna Lippet getting the jump in the sprint. sprinting away clear of the previous world road race champion Dana Leopard set to take her second stage winner of this year’s Jirro the third win for Moistar all eyes on the rapidly approaching group from behind man Royce won the sprint for third took some bonus seconds but celebration for longer bulborghini as she would take the overall victory in this year’s year celebrations for moist their third stage win this year and a huge victory for Alisa Longi adding to her overall win last year. Good ride, girls. I am exalted for TDFF. 🥰🤩
I’m sure this was great, shame about the scheduling
Thrilled for Sarah Gigante! What a comeback after all of her health struggles. Big result!🎉
Van Der Berggen likes to lead out riders from other teams. Cool to see XCO racer Isabella Holgrem up there.
Liane on fire !!!!!!!!!! 🚴🔥🔥🔥
I must be hypercritical of women's stage races because of being too few days and not enough mountaintop finishes for the GC riders. They are mostly sprinter and Ardennes Classics races pretending to be grand tour races.
Excited to see more of Gigante! She CRUSHED this Giro!!
Women racing bicycles??? What, are they all lesbians????
New drinking game: take a sip each time commentator says “slender lead”
Well done ladies the organisers are should be ashamed to put this on during the tour
Lip pert is ace. Glad elisa won too. Woman cycling is so much better than the men’s.
why would the organisers have this run the same time as the tour de france. I mean we have people who sat on a board meeting and approved this schedule? A shame big shame!
Puzzling why VanDerBreggan would allow Lippert to set on at the end.
My god. SO boring. SO lame. SO SLOW. Sure, yeah, I get it, women aren't as "strong" as men… but the typical gap is 10 to 15% in "pro" sports… like marathon, ironman, etc. So, physically there is NO EXCUSE for these so-called "pro" women cyclists to be THIS slow and THIS weak. (And they are only doing about 40% of the distance and 40% of the elevation that the men do–in the REAL Giro… so it's even more sad.) Nobody is going to give a shit about this sport as long as the women are THIS far behind the men. Men's pro cycling is popular (and profitable) because it SO difficult… performed at such a HIGH level… SO explosive… SO fast… and thus, SO exciting to watch. The women's "pro" peloton is the literal opposite of all of that. Frankly, the ONLY reason it has even made it this long is for D.E.I. reasons. "Parity" in sports and all of that nonsense. At least in women's "pro" soccer they actually play on the FULL pitch… and not a 60% reduced size field… though it would probably be at least mildly entertaining if they did. Instead of about as thrilling as watching paint dry.
Sfizera? No, Novi!
