I am looking for a bike to start preparing a triathlon for next year and found this bike. Do you think is it a good deal? My only concern is if the bike has been used a lot and it could have some internal damage in the frame.
That’s an amazing deal, even if it’s rim brakes. If you intend to only ride on tarmac, in dry weather conditions, this bike is perfect for the price point. I don’t think disc brakes are needed for like EVERYTHING, they are great though, but if you keep your riding on the road and in dry conditions, you’re fine. That bike can accommodate a max tire width of about 28-30mm depending on the tire-wheel combination, not bad and that’s what most guys run on their disc brake road bikes anyway.
Also that’s an ultegra 6870 di2 groupset. Last two gens ago. It’s the second gen ultegra, still a great groupset if you want electronic shifting for cheap. The bontrager carbon wheels are great too, they look like the aeoulus pro 3s, quite expensive at the time.
Anyways, you have like over $1700 in parts alone…that’s a fantastic deal!

Carefully inspect the breaking surfaces of the wheels. If they are fine and the bike fits you well (arrange at least 20 min test ride) its quite a nice deal :)) You may not start ravcing crits with rim breaks on carbon wheels, but for everything else its a great setup
