I commute in heavy rain once a while, but my shirt always gets wet as water hits my face and drips into my jacket down my shirt. How do you prevent that or is it just life and deal with it?
I currently use a high end gore tex mountain hardwear jacket.
Thanks!

I’ve tried different gear and have always had some degree of clothes getting wet, so now I just bring another shirt.
This is the jacket i wear for my daily commute. Ive never gotten anything underneath wet even on days its pouring. Ive taken the hood off.

Sailing jackets often have close fitting necks, that might work for you?
The hood in this design keeps more of your face covered, but that means everything that rains on the face hole is going down. If you change it a bit so your face isn’t covered at all but the part currently on your face is relatively tight under your chin, it might work a lot better.
