Says original MSRP was $8,000 in 2015. The frame is in pristine condition (I had it checked at bike shop after buying) and the guy at the bike shop said I got a really good deal considering the condition. Thoughts from Reddit community tho, cuz he didn’t look a day over 18.

Honestly, if you like rim brakes – there’s almost nothing better than that.
Your Tarmac drivetrain is basically put together from a donation pile. Non-original whatsoever. Frame is great, components are not. You could have done better for $750, and you could have done worse. Best thing is that you own it and it’s time to put miles on it!
I mean the following in the most tell it as it is way.
You paid $750 for the frame. Everything else is worth close to nothing. It was not original to the frame and is not representative of that “$8000 when new claim”. It was “$8000 when new with the original dura ace, sram red, or campagnolo super record drive train” but this is “$3000-4000 when new frame with cheap parts on it”.
Frame is worth $750 (or more). Everything else is not. You didn’t get scammed or anything numbers wise – although I feel like the seller falsely advertised when you were getting and really upsold you on the “s works” name while turning a blind eye to the late 2000s entry level comments.
It’s a good deal for an S-Works, but it’s not got any of it’s original components.
Also, those hoods look huge, crazy to see how far integrated shifters have come in the last few generations.
If it fits you and you’re going to ride it, then it’s fine.
AWESOME! I love my SWorks SL2 from 2008–which I paid $1500 in 2022. Components for high grade mechanical are getting hard to replace—hoods for my Dura Ace 10 speed shifters are no longer available, so stock up on wear items.
I hope that the bike wasn’t stolen.
Looks to be a [2016 Specalized S-works frameset](https://www.specialized.com/us/en/s-works-tarmac-frameset/p/106285?color=195838-106285) with some rather basic parts. The 8k quote is not really true with the parts on the bike. The wheels, shifters, and everything else on the bike looks much more basic than the frame. The [frameset retailed for around $3750.00](https://web.archive.org/web/20160321064132/https://www.specialized.com/us/en/s-works/sworks-tarmac-frameset/106285). What shifters are on the bike? Mix of Sram and Shimano drivetrain?
