After getting my Surly Grappler last November to finally get myself on track for the bikepacking I want to do, I was able to take this weekend to do my first overnight trip. The trail itself is 85 miles stretching from Weiser, ID to New Meadows, ID.
Got a later start than I had hoped for, and it added up over the ride. All in all though the trail is beautiful and wild and well maintained. Just maybe don’t go in the middle of summer.
Total ride ended up being 101.5 miles with 4915 feet of elevation gain.
