This pedal has only been on for 200 miles but won’t come off. I greased and installed it to the right torque just a couple of months ago. Can’ loosen it even when using an impact driver. It’s on the crank arm opposite the chain so yes I’m turning it the right way. Can a Redditor help?

Just to clarify, reverse-threaded non-driveside pedal, yes?
No 15mm wrench flats on the spindle?
Secure your bike solidly.
Set it on a block so pedal arm cannot move.
Place your wrench.
Slide a long metal pipe over your wrench. This should give you a super long lever arm.
Even a well stuck pedal will give way to a 4 foot long wrench
It gets confusing when you remove pedals from the back side like this.
Looking at the non drive side pedal like the picture, you need to turn the wrench counter clockwise to loosen.
I would take the 8mm (or what ever it takes) and put it at about the 7:30 or 8:00 position, then squeeze the allen key and crank arm together.
It is correct the left pedal is left hand threaded, but when you go from the opposite side, it is opposite. That is the confusing part.

You need a long handle pedal wrench. You can extend it with a pipe too. Use anti-seize compound, instead of grease.
Installed correctly pedals can need a hell of a lot of torque to remove. In my shop my pedal spanner is 24″ long and at that i sometimes need the help of a piece of scaffold pipe over the handle. In most cases if you only have a standard length spanner they aren’t going anywhere
Remember: From the inside the non-deiveside pedal goes out the normal (counter clockwise) direction. Have made this mistake myself so just mentioning.
