body warned footage shows the dramatic moment police intercepted suspected illegally modified ebikes in Birmingham city center the footage provided to Birmingham live by West Midland’s police shows police officers on patrol in the city center as part of a crackdown on riders of illegally modified bikes in the footage officers were seen stopping two riders in and around the New Street area officers descended on the city center on Tuesday June 17th as part of a pre-planned operation which saw 16 bikes seized and their riders issued with fines three walls were arrested for immigration matters one shot occurred outside Primark which saw a handful of officers stop a man suspected of riding an illegally modified bike in the Birmingham operation riders were spoken to and their bikes checked to see if they complied with the law 16 was seized because they were legally modified to go much faster than intended up to 40 mph in some cases and no longer met the definition of an electrically assisted pedal cycle the force said all the bikes that were seized will now be crushed

  1. Almost got struck by a nitwit riding one of those illegally fast bikes being ridden by a child at full speed down a narrow alleyway. They should be illegal to purchase, own or sell.

  2. I am aick to the back teeth of seeing delivery guys on bikes all over theplace and at counters all over. Also many park up and congregate in piblic areas. If you want to work then go to a factory or warehouse to do a proper job. When i did order food in the past, often a member of staff from the take away would come in his car and deliver it. I preferred this and also, too many taxi drivers and driving instructors out here who need to work real jobs.
