I bought a used road bike about a year ago and have been getting more and more into the sport. I’m currently using flat pedals but these pedals came with the bike. I’m ready to invest in a pair of cycling shoes. Can anyone recommend a pair that are compatible with these pedals at a decent price point? Any info is appreciated, thanks.

Any three bolt road shoe will work. I think you need SPD-SL cleats for those (are they shimano?). As for recommendations, that’s gonna depend on what features you want, where you’re located, and how much you want to spend

  2. Any cleat that is SPD-SL compatible will work with those. Those cleats require a three hole shoes, so not an SPD shoe.

you don’t need the lightest shoes or the ones with the most cool features. Get shoes that fit your feet well and are comfortable. While those are road pedals, note that you don’t always need road shoes – some mountain, casual, cyclocross, or gavel shoes might be compatible too.

Best bet is to head to your local bike store, or a couple of them, bring the pedals or at least this picture, and have them help you. Buying any on the internet is a big risk, especially if you don’t know what brands fit you best.
