It’s on his terrain he’s done it. It’s in his manner he’s done it. He’s gone out there. Chased this victory. He has after just six days exactly what he was looking for today. Provided the perfect opportunity and he has taken it. the art student who is about to pull off a tour to France masterpiece. 4 hours and 23 minutes of non-stop action. It’s been an incredible stage at the tour of France. It finishes on the toughest of gradients as well, but he will not feel the pain right now. It’s utter joy for Ben Healey who will finally start to see the finish line. There it is. Look back. There’s nobody there. And Healey has it. Hang that one in the Lou. 45.8 km per hour for that stage. Sean Kelly, you must be a very very proud Irishman. Yes. Well, majorly proud and you know the way Ben Healey has went out and got it there and uh you know that was which you know uh belief he just goes all day gets into the breakaway goes from a long ways out and gets his stage win and that’s the type of ride that he is and you know it’s been a long time since Sam Bennett won the last one for Ireland and to win this stage against the company he was in in this breakaway major victory. That’s what it means to them. That hill made me wait for it. Find the heat of the moment. You can excuse the language. Wow. Now that traditional Irish celebration perhaps, but that was a ride of persistence, brains, brawn, aggression, and watching him win. It is always beautiful to watch Healey heroics all alike and winning as everybody dreamed. Yes. And of course for the team EF Education Easy Post to get a stage win at this point in the race this is a magnificent one for a team because you know it just relaxes everyone takes the pressure off and from here on you know it’s a bit more relaxed and that’s the way they perform better further into the race. Simmons here alongside Stora. They’re about to go. They’re about to move second and third up for grabs. Well, Stora, he gave us a sample on that category 4 of how he can use the gradient to his advantage. This is even steeper and harder the run to the line. Will he make it a long drawn out one and just try to crush Simmons? Simmons want to go shorty. He’s a bit more explosive. And the American champion there at the front store hands down into the drops. ready. He’s already changed a gear or two. And here he goes. He launches his move. Simmons will try and respond there, but it’s Stora who’s gone out. Line up ahead. Simmons, though, is showing that explosivity. Store trying to keep it going all the way to the line, and he can’t do. It’s Simmons who comes back. What a comeback from the American champ. This is hanging in tough and then defeating the challenge. Simmons looks around store has broken and it’s going to be second place for Quinn Simmons. He’s done that absolutely beautifully. Yes. And what a battle between the two men for the second place on the podium. You know they they they tried it a number of kilometers out. Both of them did occasions and we could see their store. He thought he was going to have the strongest to put uh bies man out but yeah was really finishing off well and Simmons getting the next place on podium. It’s going to be an all Irish celebration here. They could have two in the top four. Ireland for the Nation’s Cup. It’s Eddie Dumbar. Simon Yet is chasing him down though. Will Barta is going to have to settle for last place from this next group of riders coming in. It’s fourth place up for grad for Dumbar. Dumbar can now see the line. And Jake Lula have fourth. Two Irishmen in the top four. Eddie Dumbar finishes in fourth. It’s a fifth place to Jinalia winner Simon Yates. Sixth will go all the way to Will Bart. And where is Matcha Faul? There is the answer. He’ll be last out the group as Thad is ahead. But Fod will cross the line and then we will start to count the time. This is a group where if any of them had won the stage, you wouldn’t be surprised. Such was the caliber of that group. So hard fought on such an incredibly difficult course to get in the break. All of them have the credentials to be a stage winner, but of course only one can. And Ben Healey was the strongest of the lot. 3 minutes 57 seconds back from the win when Machu Fool crossed the line. And a reminder as we see Togacha moving up just in case and ready because Vingore is being led out here by Ben that a minute and 28 seconds have to pass if the jersey is going to pass from Machade Buga. And is it that is the question because Benot is here. It’s going to be tight in the end. And Ben are there. Patcha is ready. Oscar Romley is in competition and contention as well. It’s Leapovitz who’s now going to take it up at the front as Benort is done. 442 it ticks on and they’re coming up into the grand finale now. There is Leapovitz a little look behind and his teammate Rogich isn’t far away. 451. It continues to tick on. It’s almost been a minute now, but there’s 200 meters to go. If the jersey is to change hands here, it is going to be very, very tight indeed. This Melissa bike have worked hard to bring this one back and make it tough, make it hard, and perhaps make Pugacha sweat a little. And here comes Jorgensson to the line. Everyone has to follow here. Rogich has to be careful not to lose things. He’s being distanced. Rogich might lose a second or two. You have to see. And now Patcha is reacting himself. Pugga’s there. Jorgensson’s with him now. Then here comes Pugacha sprinting for the line. And he might just keep the jersey there. It’s going to be maybe one or two seconds in it. I think it may well have just seeded. If he has, it’s only a couple of seconds to take the lead in the tour to France for matchup.

  3. It's mindboggling how poorly a sporting event can be televised when the top competitors are fighting for mere seconds over hundreds of kilometers. Come one, where are some intervals and overlay graphics showing which bunch of riders is gaining or losing the time. Show us the MVDP fighting for dear life to regain the yellow jersey, show us how the TP and JV are gaining on him!
