Super excited to finally get my hands on the Grizl CF 7 ESC and I absolutely love how it look.
We are lucky enough to live right next to Canyon HQ and had the chance to test ride it there before ordering – which made the wait a little easier.
Quick question for anyone riding in Germany:
Do I legally need to install the reflectors that came in the box? Or are they more of a suggestion if you’re already using proper lights?
Also, a bit of a letdown… I can’t actually ride it yet because Canyon doesn’t ship pedals and accessories at the same time as the bike (why??). Guess I’ll just keep staring at it for now 😅

Did you buy pedals from them? If not, the bikes don’t come with pedals and you have to get your own.
Reflectors depend on your country’s legislation. Where I live they are mandatory, and have specific color and movement requirements.
In Germany you are required to put on reflectors, however no one does and every roadbiker will give you a weird look tbh. i‘ve never been stopped by the police for not having them but that depends a little bit on what kind of cops you have in your area. nevertheless, you are of course encouraged to improve visibility for your own safety.
Not a lawyer, but In Germany, every bike needs to comply with the StVZO https://www.adac.de/rund-ums-fahrzeug/zweirad/fahrrad-ebike-pedelec/kauf-ausruestung/fahrrad-ausruestung/
So technically: yes. In reality: probably you will be fine without them. Just look at all road bikes you see everyday. If you get stopped by police or involved in a crash, you might face some consequences.
Have fun riding those bikes!
