Im soon planning to buy a used Rockrider 540 for 160€. What should I look out for? This will be my first proper bike so im trying not to be fooled.
Seller claims he bought the bike for 150€ and spent another 100€ in brake disc upgrades, there is no model specified but he says they are 203mm and refrigerated.

Looks like it’s from China all the parts including the name I’ve never heard of but take it for a test ride and if it feels good depending on the price negotiate a price never pay what they want always haggle.
You’re looking in the right direction. Reliable hardtail. Fit is going to be the number one issue. Do a little research on how it should feel when you’re on it and how to properly adjust the seat. Now he could have spent a million dollars on it but that really means nothing. It’s an entry level bike that should be safe to ride but it’s older and I wouldn’t pay more than 100€. If it feels perfect and the gears shift perfectly and the brakes don’t need to be bled then throw in another 25€ because it might not need a minor tune up right away.
