Borrowing this Cosmic Stallion from a friend for about a week. He wants to sell it and I'm seriously considering it as a dedicated go-fast bike for non paved roads (I live in Michigan so all the good stuff is in the forests or state parks).
I'm not a competitive rider by any stretch of the imagination, I just like to go on spirited rides from time to time. I don't have a bike computer or have any slightest inclination to record or monitor my performance. I mainly ride for fun, and while I ride super slow and enjoy slow, meandering rides 90% of the time…I do get the zoomies every once in a whole and want to go fast on my bike.
I have my Waterford R-22 as my road-focused go-fast bike, and now I'm considering this Cosmic Stallion as a go-fast off-road bike.
Anyone with long-term experience have any thoughts?

like the color! i’ve got a green one. it’s a fun bike. i’ve got three other bikes, and mainly alternate between this one and a two-speed kick-shift. i use the two-speed more, usually for getting around town, and running errands. but the cosmic stallion i’ll take on longer rides, or if i plan to do any kind of non-paved paths or gravel.
also interesting that all city no longer makes frames, so if you want one, used may be the way to go.
Do what makes you happy, but I would personally not be be surprised if the Waterford gets a lot less saddle time if you buy it. Especially in Michigan, gravel bikes are very fast and the pavement is very terrible
I would absolutely get it, they’re great bikes.
If you like the price and bike go for it. It’s a nice ride.
I got a Cosmic Stallion last summer and love it. It is my gravel darling. New England gravel for me is single track, fire roads/paths and road rides to link them all up. Stallion preforms for me on all of the above. I find it both nimble and stable when it needs to be. If you are enjoying it, I’d say buy it.
Ug I miss mine so much. It was this color way and it got stolen. Pros: really comfy, fast in a straight line, eats up farm roads and smooth gravel for miles. Cons: long chain stays, doesnt feel snappy to accelerate, too long for really gnarly under biking stuff. Overall, great bike and imo this was the best color.
Can I try it out? Looks good.
I have a Kona Rove DL that I would love to get rid of if I could find a relatively affordable Cosmic Stallion. I just love All-City frames and paint jobs. It’s a beautiful bike!
I love a steel frame with a carbon fork! Looks so dope.
Buy it! That is a beautiful bike. And I saw in one of your comments that you love the paint job. I’ve got a mint green space horse and sometimes I’ll just stare at it propped up in the corner of my living room haha. If it fits you, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I have a 2024 cosmic stallion that I built with Grx components and DT Swiss wheels. It’s a great bike. I have not ridden it on trails much, but I plan on it.
Great bike
