Hi, im trying to remove my pedals so that I can access the gear and clean it but I have no idea what type of wrench or tool I need to remove this. I tried some tools at work but they are to big to fit inside the damn thing.
you want to remove the crank arm to clean the chainring? You may be Overthinking it. But, you may also need a crank arm puller, depending on which model crank/bottom bracket you have. As well as finding the thin walked 14 or 15mm socket.

A thin-walled socket, typically 14mm or 15mm for square taper crank bolts.

As others have said, I thin-walled 15 mm socket, or one of these: [https://www.parktool.com/en-us/product/crank-wrench-ccw-5?category=Crank+%26+Bottom+Bracket](https://www.parktool.com/en-us/product/crank-wrench-ccw-5?category=Crank+%26+Bottom+Bracket)
Then, once you get that bolt out, you will need a crank puller: [https://www.parktool.com/en-us/product/universal-crank-puller-for-square-taper-and-splined-cranks-cwp-7?category=Crank+%26+Bottom+Bracket](https://www.parktool.com/en-us/product/universal-crank-puller-for-square-taper-and-splined-cranks-cwp-7?category=Crank+%26+Bottom+Bracket)
