A local guy was selling bikes for 10 bucks each so I got this and a schwin. The schwin was too big bit had good wheels so I used them for this bike. After new crank pins, tires and tubes, pedals and new bar tape its rideable for now.
I am going to change put the bars to some hybrid type and replace the brakes with some long reach dia compe eventually. Needs new crank and bottom bracket. Already have a square tube french bb ready to go. I am not sure if I should keep it 10 speed or go single speed. What do you think?

I think it is a cool bike especially for 10 bucks. That being said, maybe it is an angle from which the photo was made, but it may be that it had a frontal collision. Most probably I am wrong, but you may want to check whether the fork and the head tube are aligned.
I wouldn’t change anything, these are great riding bikes as they are. If you do remove the bb, please set it aside or resell it, since the parts don’t exist anymore. A total steal for $10 as well!
