Day nine of the cycle to Australia saw us rolling out of New Chhatel into a wet gray morning. That steady kind of rain that works its way into your sleeves and makes everything just feel a bit heavier. And extra weight is not what we needed for the Swiss climbs. It felt like the ride might be a bit of a slo. But then slowly things started to shift. Clouds thinned out. The light got warmer and we found ourselves surrounded by that classic Swiss countryside. Fields, forests, hills with everything glistening after the rain. The roads dried up and just like that, energy changed. Move tarmac toarmac, clean air, and those gentle curves that make you want to keep riding just a little bit further. We’re putting the cannon down for its faces today. Back on the main road, things picked up. A few long tunnels broke up the scenery. Then the climbing kicked in. Nothing brutal, just long and steady. Then came the reward. Those winding descents, smooth and fast, where you barely need to pedal. Just lean in and enjoy the ride. By the time we rolled into Interarken, the sun was fully out. Lakes on either side, mountains in the distance, not a finish line, really. more like a reminder why we love doing this in the first
