  1. For $1500 and first bike…yeah this is “OK” but try to find a bike with DISC brakes. This is using old rim brakes. Should be $1000 IMO.

The updated version, frameset is $1700 new [https://www.specialized.com/us/en/allez-sprint-frameset/p/216920?color=350015-216920](https://www.specialized.com/us/en/allez-sprint-frameset/p/216920?color=350015-216920)

You can get 105 di2 (electronic, this listing is mechanical) for $1000 [https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.merlincycles.com/shimano-105-r7170-di2-disc-groupset-12-speed-271682.html&ved=2ahUKEwjU7s2U6rKOAxUwJkQIHdjSFnMQFnoECBsQAQ&usg=AOvVaw3xiXx3TiCQXYXvYj5lXAxe](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.merlincycles.com/shimano-105-r7170-di2-disc-groupset-12-speed-271682.html&ved=2ahUKEwjU7s2U6rKOAxUwJkQIHdjSFnMQFnoECBsQAQ&usg=AOvVaw3xiXx3TiCQXYXvYj5lXAxe)

The reynolds carbon wheels are nothing special. They look sorta shallow, at like 40-45mm. For a novice, they won’t help you much either. They’ll make the bike feel nicer though.

**Big FYI: The seatpost and the fork is carbon.** You will need a torque wrench+some carbon assembly paste ($15) to adjust the seatpost and to retighten it. You don’t want to tighten carbon components without a torque wrench, you could easily shatter them.

It’s nice but make sure you like that geo. Definitely gonna be aggressive compared to a more “comfy” endurance bike. That being said, it’s all what you can get used to.
