Hello so I recently picked up a Surly 1×1 11th anniversary edition. It came with 24” Surly Large Marge rims and 3.5” slick tires. Given the lack of tire sizes in 24” i went with the CST BFTs in 4”. I was able to get the tires on with a little work. However when riding yesterday i noted the front tire was rubbing on the fork and basically shaved some of the tire off. The tire seems centered as material is coming off both sides. Will this be fine long term? Or is there another 24” option i can look for?

That’s plenty. Ride it!
Avoid cakey mud. I have locked up tires with mud when the clearance is not ideal.
