the success in a time trial on the the tour of France. When you saw the course, when you saw the conditions, you knew you you maybe had the upper hand. Uh I mean, yeah, you never know because of course, uh big guys like Eduardo, you know, that they uh they can do these courses very well um as well. Also, uh yeah, they can save a little bit more in the finals like yesterday. So, uh I knew I had a I had a good chance, but of course the legs still have to be there and uh everything needs to go uh yeah, as as the plan is. And in the end, uh I think it was pretty good. Um I didn’t really feel like I could like I could go any faster. So, I think in general, I’m I’m happy with this result, of course. And uh with this second stage win for our team, it’s super nice. How did you organize your efforts? because you weren’t the fastest at the first time check or the second time check and you you really made the difference at the end. Yeah, I think I uh I kind of pushed pretty steady uh every slightly uphill part. I push harder than the downhills of course, but I think uh my biggest um yeah uh I mean my strongest point, but I I kept the same pace uh in the end as in the first 10k. So, um I think that really put up my my pace and the speed and I think it’s also what we we saw in the intermediates that I was always going up uh and also still gaining time in the in the last 7 8 km. So, I think uh yeah, I paced perfectly and uh everything was was was on point. So, super happy and super happy I suppose by looking at the at the the times 16 minutes on today over a minute on on Yonas. A very good day for you. Yeah, of course. I think Tade did a a very strong time trial as well. Uh I think uh 20 17 seconds is uh is pretty pretty close. I think it’s it’s uh about half a second per kilometer. So I think uh compared to the Dolphin time trial, he uh he really made a step forward and it shows that he’s in in big form and that’s uh the only reason why he’s the the guy to beat in this tour of France. And I think uh yeah, compared to all the other guys, uh I did what I had to do to try uh try to take as much time as possible and uh to step up in the GC. And I think um yeah, it’s kind of the same situation as last year uh at this time after the TT. So uh super happy with that and I think it’s a big step forward towards uh the podium, but of course it’s still a very long way to go in this tour. So uh just very happy with my performance of today and try to keep this up. Yeah, especially because you said before the tour in France that the tour is one now in the mountains and not in the time trial. That’s in the back of your mind always. Yeah, of course. I think uh today was a first step for me to to put a good GC result in towards Paris, but I think uh this is not where the the tour ends. Of course, uh everybody knows what’s coming up next week and the the the week after next week. So, I think uh yeah, there’s still a long way to go, but uh yeah, it’s already very nice to take a stage win. It means uh that the two guys that are here to take stage wins won from our team. So uh yeah, we’re kind of relaxed now and now it’s all uh all focusing on on this podium in Paris. Thank you, Rem. Go.

  1. Great to see Remco back in the hunt. His unfortunate miss of the move on the echelon stage has been brought back a bit. I must say I'm shocked at the Anchovie.

  2. Vingegaard can’t come back from this loss today. He can’t win tour

His wife will hound him after tour to quit racing and come home

Pogacar on track to win 6 tours and most tour stage wins and most days in yellow

  3. just because Jonas Vingegaard is 1 min 13 sec behind number 1
    doesn't mean he has lost
He will come back and then he will finish his job as a winner…..

  4. People writing off Jonas when there is still mountain stages is crazy, he excels in the climbs, so much riding left, casuals.

  5. I never liked Remco but I’ve changed my mind. He’s always honest on his opinion and gives credit where credit is due. I hope you gets on the podium.

  6. It'll be interesting to see how Visma uses Jorgenson in the mountains vs UAE's use of Almeida. So far Matteo's been the aggressive "alternative threat" breaking away, while Joao's been the super-domestique always leading/pulling for Tadej.
