is the the real test. Machi Vanderpool leads this race equal on time with Pagatcha Fergard at 8 seconds. Remco Apollo at 58 seconds. Now my main goal will be to try and win the fifth stage and then we will see uh after that if it’s with a yellow jersey or not. It’s only 8 seconds. Everything can happen. Uh can also be that uh that Vanderpool or or Pugachar or or somebody else is doing a a really good time travel and uh yeah, you never know. [Applause] I’m proud to keep the yellow jersey for one more day, but yeah, if I’m realistic, the chance is really big. I will lose it tomorrow. But it’s nice to uh to ride a TT once again in yellow. I did it four years ago as well. So, um yeah, it brings back memories. I will enjoy it. This is one of the most important first parts of the first phase of this tour to France. A 33 km power testing corn well suited to rulers, but it’s the time trial ruler Remco Evanapole dominant on the recent Dolphin Titi who has a golden chance to strike in the battle for yellow. [Music] Ivan Romeo, the youngest in the Pelaton, but already the under23 world TT champion. But despite the fastest time, the Spaniard’s place in the hot seat was shortlived. The European TT champion Edoardo Afini served up a blistering time. But just as important, Visma teammate Vinegor giving a good look at what’s to come. Best time by a big big margin now. Best time by a big big margin. Come on, Edo. We’ll be in the hot seat for long. For him it was it was good to be in the car to uh to see the course another time and also to see it at uh uh yeah at race speed because of course you get a different uh uh a different feeling of uh of the corners and uh how the wind blows. The Italian setting a strong standard for his leader to follow. Yet threetime French TT champion Bruno Armaray was 4 seconds faster than Afini at the first checkpoint and still waiting for the GC favorites to launch. to bring back some time. World TT colors dawned on the jersey and helmet. Sudo Quickstep’s leader was away and finally taking charge after the third checkpoint 11 seconds ahead of Afini. [Applause] 8 km left to build up a more robust advantage. Thought of the maid. Thought of the maid. Come on. He has completely emptied the tank. He went out of the start gate as though he was out of a gun. Remco a Napole now closing in on the finish line. He’s going to stop the clock. Smashes the time of Aini by 33 seconds. 42 36 minutes 42 seconds. Best time for Jonas Wangard about to get started. Third overall. 8 seconds down. Big moment now. Vengerard gets going and sprints away. And very fast start there by Vindigard. This is Tad Pagatcha. UAE team Emirates XRG. Start of Tad Paga. Not quite like the bullet that Remco Apollo was, but not far off. [Music] [Music] So when you find a good rhythm and then you just put your head down and you push it. Third time. He is one second slower than Remco Evan at that time. Check. Wengerard isn’t there yet. Wenger is going to come through. 19 minutes 30 for Wengerard. He’s 1 second outside Rogich’s time. Wenger is not having a good time trial this afternoon. Something is not going well for this rider. Yas was really impressive how you countered the takeoff today. Yeah, really. We had to go deep, but really really impressive. I can’t say uh that where you lost something but uh wasn’t best. Well, we keep fighting. H you did your best and that’s it. We have to accept it. Grava, grava, grav, super super he has worked this course out perfectly. He’s now a minute ahead of Yonas Wengerard on the road. He’ll be happy with that tonight. Imagine sold. [Music] Last corner. 32 seconds. Wenger loses to Kevin Valan. Here comes Paga now. Final corner. He comes round the turn. I think it’s safe to say now that Remco Napole wins this time trial. But Tad Pagatcha has put paid a massive dent in the hopes of Yonas Wengerard to win this tour to France because Pagatcha is on fire in this time trial. 16 seconds is all he loses to Remco Apollo. Second fastest time. Matthew Vanderpool finishes crosses the line. 18th fastest losses 144 to Remco Nepole in the time trial. system. There’s still a long way to go, but uh yeah, it’s already very nice to take a stage win. Yeah, we’re kind of relaxed now, and now it’s all uh all focusing on on this podium in Paris. No first tour yellow jersey for Evanapul, but another knockout performance. The Belgian adds to his time trial success in the 2024 edition and again ahead of Bagar, this time 16 seconds better off. Yet the Slovenian didn’t mind back into the Mayo Jeon for the first time this edition and gaps appearing especially for Vinegar. One jersey not enough as Pagata heads the points classification. Jonathan Milan will wear green in his place. And no reason to give up the polka dots. Yet the GC leader will loan the jersey to UAE teammate Tim Wellins. Evapole the best young rider in second overall. The highs are great but the lows brutal at the Tud Def France.

  1. Even the guys that coment the highlights at the beggining was sayin that ving was great but then pogi shut them up… stop it, pogi is going to win it, by a minute, or a second, but he Will win

  2. Scientists need to do a research on Remco TT position, that looks so freakinggg aero!!!😂😂😂 and pogi to lose only 16sec over Remco.. that’s impressive 🔥🔥🔥

  3. The race is no longer relevant. This is a sport infected with cheating and performance enhancing drugs. No one cares anymore. You are now a niche product for a few million Europeans. You have made your sport irrelevant. Enjoy your irrelevancy.

  4. Todas las camisetas para el nuevo Eddy Merx, que sé lo va a superar en unos récords que muchos pensábamos eran de otra época, GIGANTE POGY!!!!

  5. it sucks that in USA we are stuck with sleepy PHIL And Boring BOB calling the race, let us Hear
Anthony and Nico ! cycling is so GEO BLOCKED its silly.

  6. I’m a Pogi fan but I will be rooting for Jonas to make it interesting. Let’s hope he can find his legs before the later mountain stages that suit him so well

  7. This feels like Netflix's annual series of Formula 1 but it's released less than a day after the race and no twisting of the story.

  8. Personne n'aime les racailles qui vendent de la drogue dans les cités mais applaudissent tous ces drogués…La débilité dans toute sa splendeur.
